Our mission is to teach children in a gentle, fun, and loving way.
Owners Paul and Debbie Bozarth are no strangers to teaching children. They own, manage, and teach at The Little Gym. Quality instruction and a caring hands-on approach are the key to the success of their businesses. Now that they have opened MSTF, they have expanded their opportunity to reach out to children in the area.

Paul coached and taught for over 20 years before opening The Little Gym located at Mockingbird & Abrams. Paul will oversee the “SKILLS” for life program developed by MSTF staff for ages 6 to 13. Paul has previously coached baseball, basketball, football, soccer, golf and cross-country sports. Debbie manages the facility and teaches swim classes.

Debbie has participated on swim teams and has been a volunteering parent at city meets. Debbie received her lifeguard certification from the Red Cross at age 17 and swimming has been important to her as a life time sport. She holds the WSI certification from the Red Cross (Water Safety Instructor) and the U.S. Swim school Association’s Infant /Toddler certification. She has managed and taught Parent/Child and swim classes for 3 of The Little Gym facilities in the Dallas area for over 10 years and Mockingbird Swim & Total Fitness since its inception in 2005. She has two grown children.

Joe Ruby is the Swim Director at Mockingbird Swim & Total Fitness. Joe was The Little Gym’s summer swim director for 4 years. After a short time in the corporate world he has come home to his passion - teaching children. Joe received his lifeguard certification from the Red Cross as well holding a certification in Lifeguard Instructor. Joe has participated on swim teams and has taught swim lessons since before his teen years. Joe also holds the WSI certification from the Red Cross (Water Safety Instructor).

All lead instructors are Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard certified through American Red Cross for optimal knowledge of teaching and safety. Some instructor also hold Infant/Toddler certifications from the U.S. Swim School Association.
